ICSS Specialist (Schneider)
Job Summary
INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned ICSS Specialist to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. Responsible for specialist maintenance troubleshooting configuration testing backup/restore upgrades and integration of Foxboro DCS Modicon PLC and SCADA systems ensuring system reliability configuration integrity compatibility and compliance with approved change-control requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist Foxboro DCS Modicon PLC & SCADA troubleshooting diagnostics and fault resolution.
- Maintain controllers CPUs I/O modules communication networks and associated hardware.
- Configure and modify DCS/ PLC/SCADA logic graphics alarms interlocks and control functions under approved MOC/change control.
- Manage system backups restoration software versions and configuration baselines.
- Support hardware replacement upgrades migrations and system integration.
- Perform FAT SAT loop checks functional testing and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot communication networks and interfaces with DCS SIS F&G historian and third-party systems.
- Conduct RCA fault recovery and reliability improvements for recurring system failures.
- Maintain configuration integrity technical documentation backups and CMMS records.
- Coordinate with Schneider/Modicon OEMs and specialist vendors for complex issues and upgrades.
- Support emergency recovery and restoration of critical control-system functions.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with HSE PTW/LOTO cybersecurity and MOC requirements.
Requirements:
To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:
- Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Control Electrical Electronics Engineering or related discipline; equivalent specialist qualification may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years experience in oil & gas petrochemical or industrial facilities including at least 5 years in Foxboro/Modicon PLC/SCADA systems.
- Advanced experience in Foxboro/Modicon SCADA controller and I/O engineering.
- Strong knowledge of PLC diagnostics programming communication networks and system integration.
- Experience with backup/restore software upgrades version control and configuration management.
- Experience in FAT/SAT commissioning loop checks and functional testing.
- Knowledge of interfaces with DCS SIS F&G historian and third-party systems.
- Strong troubleshooting RCA and reliability improvement capabilities.
- Good understanding of MOC change control cybersecurity and control-system integrity.
- Foxboro/Modicon OEM training or certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong technical documentation communication and coordination skills.
