HSE Supervisor
Job Summary
INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled HSE Supervisor to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The selected candidate will provide day-to-day HSE leadership at site verifies that work is executed in accordance with approved HSE plans and procedures identifies and controls hazards monitors compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) LOTO and Job Safety Analysis/Risk Assessment requirements and ensures timely reporting and close-out of unsafe conditions incidents and nonconformances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HSE leadership and field supervision for maintenance project shutdown turnaround and execution activities.
- Ensure compliance with COMPANY HSE procedures legal requirements PTW LOTO and approved work controls.
- Review and verify JSA/JHA risk assessments RAMS method statements and control measures particularly for high-risk activities.
- Monitor and enforce safe execution of work at height confined space lifting hot work excavation electrical work pressure testing chemical handling SIMOPS and energy isolation.
- Conduct regular site HSE inspections and audits identify unsafe conditions and environmental issues and ensure corrective actions are effectively closed.
- Conduct/support toolbox talks safety briefings HSE awareness activities and workforce engagement.
- Respond to and support investigation of incidents near misses emergencies and environmental events including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support emergency preparedness drills response plans and emergency equipment readiness.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance including competency documentation PTW PPE LOTO lifting and other critical controls.
- Monitor environmental compliance including waste management chemical handling spill prevention housekeeping and environmental incident reporting.
- Maintain accurate HSE reports inspection/audit records PTW records incident reports observations training records corrective-action registers and HSE statistics.
- Identify recurring HSE risks and recommend preventive and continuous-improvement measures.
Requirements:
To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:
- Technical Degree/Dimploma in HSE Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or related discipline with a recognized HSE certification.
- Minimum 5 years of oil & gas experience including at least 3 years as an HSE Supervisor or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance brownfield projects shutdowns turnarounds or operating facilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HSE leadership hazard identification risk assessment JSA/JHA RAMS PTW LOTO SIMOPS and high-risk work controls.
- Experience in incident/near-miss investigation root-cause analysis emergency response HSE inspections audits and corrective-action management.
- Competent in contractor HSE management environmental controls HSE reporting statistics and workforce engagement.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH/IOSH First Aid/CPR Fire Fighting Incident Investigation PTW/LOTO Confined Space and Work at Height are preferred.
- Strong safety leadership communication decision-making problem-solving and reporting skills with the confidence to challenge and stop unsafe work.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary multicultural teams and under operational/schedule pressure.
