Supply & Distribution Analyst Contractual Based

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets including animal nutrition and health bioindustrial road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.
The Supply and Distribution Analyst will maintain product availability at the distribution centers and plant to maximize sales opportunities for the this role you will ensure forecast accuracy versus sales to drive correct order quantities and analyze business metrics to identify root cause issues and solutions to improve performance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer service team and production planner facilitate communication between the customer and the organization.
- Manage inventory review customer orders and prepare reports to make recommendations to improve and maintain key performance indicators.
- Drive improved order forecast accuracy and case fill through analysis of customer data such as point-of-sale consumption and inventory versus customer forecast.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across the customers supply chain as well as with sales demand planning supply planning and customer supply chain teams.
- Strategize on replenishment through current and historical trend analysis to maximize sales inventory turns and gross margin.
- Work with the team to resolve product shortages and procedural issues and communicate with key stakeholders about decisions and information related to product disruptions in the supply chain to prevent out of stocks.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with data analytical tools (i.e. Power BI SAP Ms Excel)
- Minimum of five years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
- Experience with customer databases order management systems and sales analysis tools
- Experience preparing ad hoc reports regarding sales inventory and forecasting
- Experience with key performance indicators like forecast accuracy on time in full and order accuracy
