Software Engineer Shared Service

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our Shared Services this role you will build and maintain reusable backend services that power multiple products across the organization. Youll work closely with Product Design QA and fellow engineers to deliver secure scalable and high-quality solutions while contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

What You Will Do

• Design develop test and maintain backend services and APIs for our platform.
• Collaborate with Product Design QA and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and scalability issues.
• Build secure reliable and maintainable software following industry best practices.
• Ensure high code quality through unit testing code reviews and automated testing.
• Participate in architecture discussions technical planning and product ideation.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously improve engineering practices by adopting modern technologies authentication standards and AI-assisted development tools.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools or agentic workflows (e.g. LLMs GitHub Copilot Cursor Claude Code OpenAI APIs or similar) to improve software development productivity.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems preferably Git.
• Experience with containerization and modern development workflows including Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical thinking debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) is a plus.
• Experience with Keycloak or similar Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms (e.g. Auth0 Okta Amazon Cognito) is a plus.
• Experience building reusable platform services or internal developer tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs is a plus.
