Job Description:

This position will be responsible to manage Major Gift generating significant financial contributions from Middle Donors/ Sponsors to support Wahana Visi Indonesias program. This position also acquires and build over a period of 2-3 years a mature portfolio of middle donors who support WV IDN at a major gift level.

Strategy Development & Planning

  • Contribute strategically to development of Ministry Funding Strategy Acquisition Donor Retention Strategy as well as Donor Engagement Plan.

  • Contribute on the development of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVIDN)s Major Gift from Middle Donors strategic mapping.

  • Lead development of a successful Major Gift Team Acquisition strategy and annual business plan for the national office (NO) based upon landscape and competitor analysis NO priorities and expertise from Regional Global Center and Support Office personnel in coordination with other technical and functional teams.

  • Contribute to the development of WVIDN Major Gift relationship management plan and executes with appropriate national regional and global personnel.

  • Contribute to develop and apply WVIDN Major Gift relationship management plan that facilitate the donors interest as well as WVIDN program needs in collaboration with national regional and global WVI relevant staff..

Resource Acquisition & Management

  • Responsible for sustaining WVIDNs partnership with Middle Donors exploring new donors and partners to strengthen WVIDNs resource pool focusing on development and implementation of collaborative and impactful partnerships.

  • Coordinate the development of project proposal to grow national income based on the national strategy in alignment with strategic priorities (geographic sectoral). Secure annual funding according to individually agreed-upon targets.

  • Ensure the accuracy and punctuality of funding status for each project within programs to identify possible funding gaps and ensure smooth transition from one donor source to the next.

  • Collaborate with other units to identify potential new donors and interests and develop appropriate plan for acquisition in alignment to the overall units strategic plan and target

Accountability & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure WVIDN accountability transparency and effective communication as evidenced by positive response in donor feedback.

  • Gives respond to donors queries and complaints to minimize and/or avoid cancellation and to maintain donors satisfaction.

  • Ensures the fulfilment of Minimum Sponsorship Experience Standard through sponsorship products systems and communications tools.

  • Monitor and evaluate risks applicable to the units management and relationships with the donors and design and apply appropriate mitigation plan in coordination with Major Gift head

Networking & Coordination

  • Ensure strong relationship development plan with priority donor and partner is in place managed and monitored. This may include travel with donor contact attend business and networking sessions / events.

  • Liaise effectively with concerned departments and teams to increase effectiveness of HNWI program implementation including grants finance team to ensure accuracy of grant data in PBAS and Horizon.

  • Foster open relationships for the transfer of knowledge between APs Zonal donors and partners.

Capacity Building

  • Implement Major Gift Team capacity building strategy and plan in close coordination with Operations People & Culture and Regional Office.

  • In collaboration with other Dept staff and GMZs build program and project managers capacity to design and report according to donors standards and requirement.

Management & Leadership

  • Actively support enabling and positive team environment where staff are able to develop their spiritual gifts and grow in Christian maturity.

  • Actively participate Christian leadership and support to enrich the organisations life faith Christian commitments and create enabling and positive team environment where colleagues are able to develop their spiritual gifts and grow in Christian maturity.

Requirement

  • Min. 5 years progressive experience in managing Major Donor is an advantage.

  • Extensive experience of business development and demonstrable success in growing income through a diverse range of fundraising activities

  • A Bachelor degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Advance degree strongly preferred.

  • Highly organized with exceptional detailed orientation and demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of work

  • Possess strong donor centric service ethic and strong sense of professionalism

  • Own high integrity personal responsibility and a commitment to constant learning

  • Mature and independent mind-set able to work smart and effectively.

  • Strong commercial orientation with discerning interpersonal skills.

  • A strong understanding of strategic communications marketing and how to raise an organisations portofolio and impact

  • Excellent written communication skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Computer literacy skills e.g. CRM database experience strong skills in the use of MS Office Suite; email; calendar

  • Travel: Domestic may be required.

  • Ability to attend social weekends and evenings events as needed
