Network Engineer

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client a leading global provider of cutting-edge technologies and innovative services.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related issues to ensure stable and reliable network operations.
• Configure manage and maintain network devices including routers switches firewalls and WAF (Web Application Firewall).
• Perform regular maintenance upgrades and optimization of network systems and devices to maintain optimal performance and security.
• Monitor network performance analyze network traffic and logs and identify potential bottlenecks or performance issues.
• Implement and maintain network security policies including firewall configurations and security controls.
• Create and maintain network diagrams technical documentation incident records and configuration documentation.
• Escalate complex technical issues when required and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Provide technical guidance support and mentorship to L1 Support Engineers.
• Troubleshoot and manage basic operating system issues in Linux and Windows environments.
• Support and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness to ensure business continuity.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Senior-level positions.
• Proficient in Linux environments such as RHEL Ubuntu and CentOS.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols routing protocols and switching concepts including VLANs.
• Experience with firewall management VPNs and network security monitoring particularly using FortiGate.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud environments particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Cloud VPN Partner Interconnect Cloud NAT and Cloud Router.
• Ability to analyze network logs packet captures and monitoring data to identify and troubleshoot network issues.
• Knowledge of basic application security technologies including WAF API Protection Bot Detection and L7 DDoS Protection.
• Understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) concepts and Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) environments.
• Mandatory certifications: Cisco CCNA or CCNP Fortinet NSE 1–4 and Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
• Value-added certifications: Google Cloud Engineer certification and Fortinet NSE 4–8.
• Strong troubleshooting analytical communication and collaboration skills.
