Position: Bilingual Indonesian STEM Expert (PhD) AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $19$23/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Indonesian across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy helpfulness and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model safety in handling technical topics.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry biology or a related field ongoing or completed.
• Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian and business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in Indonesia or the wider Southeast Asia region.
• Expertise in radiochemistry nuclear chemistry or radiation physics.
• Depth in a specific subfield such as organic synthesis molecular biology or virology.
• Research or coursework on chemical safety and security.
• Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
