Job Summary
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to handle escalated alerts investigate incidents and perform vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with organizational standards and reduce security risks.
Areas of responsibility
Monitoring and Incident Detection-Handle escalated alerts prevent potential intrusions from third party agents and analyse log correlation to ensure alignment with security standards.
Incident Handling and Analysis-Triage security incidents handle escalated incidents assist in performing root cause analysis and prepare reports that adhere to compliance requirements.
Threat Assessment and Analytics-Perform vulnerability scans identify threat intelligence feeds and recommend preventive measures to reduce exposure.
Stakeholder Coordination and Audit Assistance-Coordinate with internal teams on security issues maintain risk registers and assist during compliance audits.
Required Skills & Experience
- Good understanding of WAF technologies such as F5 ASM/Advanced WAF Akamai Kona Imperva Cloudflare AWS WAF or similar platforms.
- Experience in banking financial services or other regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of IT governance change management compliance and audit processes.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 web application security concepts and security best practices.
- Experience in reviewing technical changes implementation plans and operational documentation.
- Familiarity with incident management problem management and risk assessment processes.
- Strong documentation reporting and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple technical teams and client stakeholders.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Experience working with ticketing and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow Remedy or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as ITIL CEH CISSP CISA ISO 27001 or relevant security/governance certifications.
- Knowledge of SIEM and security monitoring platforms.
- Experience in audit handling and regulatory compliance activities.
- Understanding of automation and reporting tools will be an added advantage.
