Job Summary

If youre a Test Engineer based in India who has experience in Machine Testing and validation activities you might be seeing an opportunity that others arent. We are looking for a Machine Testing Engineer to handle testing and validation activities for filling packaging and processing machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting FAT/SAT verifying machine performance against design requirements diagnosing and resolving operational issues and supporting equipment commissioning. This role requires strong mechanical electrical and automation knowledge along with a passion for delivering high-quality reliable manufacturing solutions to customers. This is an permanent role based at Chakan Pune

What you will do
  • Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for filling packaging and processing equipment.
  • Perform functional mechanical electrical pneumatic and software validation of automated production machinery.
  • Identify troubleshoot and resolve machine performance issues during testing and commissioning phases.
  • Analyze test results document findings and prepare comprehensive validation and testing reports.
  • Collaborate with design manufacturing automation quality and project teams to address technical issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for machine failures and quality deviations.
  • Ensure all testing activities are carried out in accordance with company safety procedures and quality standards
  • Secure Functional performances of equipment according to official specification
  • Contribute to capital equipment production performance indicator
  • Lead/participate in WCM OHS initiatives Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement in line with WCM principles
  • Contribute in cost saving initiaves
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes in areas as assembly
We believe you have
  • Bachelors or Technical degree/Diploma in. Instrumentation/Electronics/ Mechanical/production Electrical/Automation Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience working as Automation project Engineer Testing/ Commissioning Engineer in or related to the process industries .
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical food or dairy industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming on Rockwell and Siemens systems is a Mandate.
  • Knowledge of SCADA programming on Wonderware Intouch System platform Rockwell Siemens Scada systems is an advantage
  • Familiar with Siemens Step7 Siemens TIA PORTAL Siemens WinCC or Rockwell Studio5000 Factory Talk
  • Have automation knowledge from the processing industry typically including SW development and commissioning experience with continues & batch processing.
  • Familiar with Windows Operating System setup and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge on functional safety machine safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently self-motivated and team player.
  • Good English skills on writing reading listening and speaking
  • Strong positive oral & written communication skills both internally & with customers required.
  • Good level of troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to work under demanding timelines and situations.
