Staff Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview 

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Test Automation Engineer to lead the design implementation and evolution of our test automation strategy across products and platforms. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership to improve software quality accelerate delivery and drive engineering excellence. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Define and drive the organizations test automation roadmap. 
• Design scalable maintainable and reusable automation frameworks. 
•  Establish automation standards best practices and governance. 
•  Drive shift-left testing practices and quality engineering initiatives. 
•  Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. 
•  Mentor engineers and conduct code and framework reviews. 
•  Define strategies for performance load scalability and reliability testing. 
•  Track automation coverage defect escape rate test stability and release readiness. 

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications 

• 8 years of software testing and quality engineering experience. 
• 5 years of hands-on test automation development experience. 
• Strong programming skills in Java C# Python or JavaScript/TypeScript. 
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites using modern automation tools such as Playwright Selenium Cypress Postman/Newman REST Assured and API testing frameworks with demonstrated expertise in designing scalable and maintainable test automation solutions. 
• Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems. 
• Experience with CI/CD practices and Agile development. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with AWS Azure or Google Cloud. 
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Experience with performance testing tools. 
• Experience in SaaS cloud-native or distributed systems environments. 
• Experience with accessibility and security testing.

• Improve automation coverage across critical workflows. 
• Reduce flaky test rates. 
• Shorten test execution times. 
• Increase confidence through automated quality gates. 
• Mentor engineers and improve quality culture.
