Experience in Cloud Architecture e.g. AWS / Azure etc.

Solid Experience and Understanding of DB architecture & implementations

Experience and Knowledge in MongoDB will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KRAs/KPIs:

Installing your PostgreSQL Software

Creating PostgreSQL Databases

Managing the PostgreSQL Cluster

Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring

database capacity and usage.

Support administer and maintain database environments running MongoDB

LUW

Develop procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention

reducing any need downtime.

Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g. Vacuum Reindexing

Archiving).

Managing Database Storage Structures

Administering User Security

Managing Data Concurrency

Managing Undo Data

Implementing Database Auditing

Database Maintenance

Performance Management

Responsible for query tuning

Backup and Recovery Concepts

Performing Database Backups

Performing Database Recovery

Moving Data

Patch Management

Experience with database migrations to PostgreSQL will be an added advantage

Good communication skills

Migration experience from other database technologies to Postgres would be

advantageous.
