Role: Senior Business Analyst

Reporting to: Head of Business Analysis

Location: Mumbai / Hybrid

Experience:

• Minimum 69 years experience in business analysis preferably within industrial marine energy or technology sectors.

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end requirements definition business process improvement and stakeholder management for complex capital or lifecycle programmes.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Computer Science or related discipline.

• Professional certification in business analysis (e.g. CBAP) or Agile certifications preferred.

Purpose of the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The role will drive requirements elicitation process analysis and solution definition for strategic projects and product initiatives. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams ensuring solutions meet functional and nonfunctional requirements while delivering measurable business value.

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities including stakeholder engagement requirements gathering modelling prioritisation and acceptance criteria definition.

• Analyse current-state processes identify improvement opportunities and define future-state processes with clear business cases and benefits realisation plans.

• Produce clear concise artefacts: user stories use cases process maps data models functional specifications and testable acceptance criteria.

• Work closely with product owners architects and development teams to ensure solutions are feasible scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture.

• Facilitate workshops and governance forums to obtain buyin and resolve conflicting priorities among stakeholders.

• Support project delivery through sprint planning backlog grooming and user acceptance testing; ensure requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle.

• Apply advanced analytics and data-driven insight to inform recommendations and support decision-making.

• Mentor and coach junior analysts sharing best practice in requirements engineering and stakeholder management.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices templates and tooling (including CRM ALM and process modelling tools).

• Engage with customers and internal stakeholders on strategic topics such as decarbonisation lifecycle services and digital transformation to help define tailored strategies and solutions.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; capable of engaging with senior management and technical teams alike.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; able to present complex concepts clearly.

• Expertise in requirements elicitation techniques process modelling and data analysis.

• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional project delivery frameworks.

• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA Confluence BPMN modelling tools and MS Office; familiarity with CRM and BI tools advantageous.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.

• Ability to translate business needs into clear testable requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Minimum 6 years professional experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.

• Experience working on complex cross-functional programmes and integrating with enterprise systems.

• Track record of delivering requirements for both greenfield and enhancement projects.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

• Experience in marine oil & gas energy or industrial sectors.

• Knowledge of domain-driven design API-led integration and cloud platforms.

• Experience with data governance master data management or analytics implementations.

• Professional certifications such as CBAP IIBA or Agile qualifications.
