The Sourcing Specialist assists in the development implementation and management of globalstrategies to ensure optimal supply assurance pricing flexibility quality and delivery performance. They benchmark new processes approaches and technologies to continuously drive performance improvements and business results. This role involves researching and analyzing current and emerging procurement trends developing a deep understanding of market conditions and proposing global supply chain solutions with a focus on total cost of ownership.
Job responsibilities:
1)Category Management
Address all areas of category management including category business plans global market and pricing analysis and procurement support.
Contribute to the development of the companys strategic category objectives and goals.
Assist in the development of global category strategies with defined plans for cost savings risk assessment and mitigation and service level agreements.
Support the CM in developing and executing category negotiation strategies with suppliers including specific targets for pricing service quality intellectual property tool ownership exclusivity and inventory.
Monitor current category market conditions technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities.
Develop subject matter expertise in assigned commodities through external research benchmarking and analysis of cost drivers and life cycle costs. Provide market intelligence and category price trends.
2)Sourcing Management
Utilize the strategic sourcing process to manage assigned commodities and finished products across multiple Victaulic locations and subsidiaries.
Identify all stakeholders for each major category and form cross-functional teams to define and implement strategies that reduce costs improve quality and strengthen Victaulics competitive position.
Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and market trends to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives within designated categories.
Analyze current spending and evaluate current suppliers; consolidate spending across multiple manufacturing locations to create leverage.
Identify new high-potential suppliers
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant progressive experience in strategic sourcing category management or an equivalent procurement function.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities using contemporary tools and methods (Excel ERP/procurement systems spend analytics platforms).
Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to articulate complex topics clearly at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in English is required
Willingness to travel up to 25%
