Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer with strong experience in DSP/SoC-based audio systems particularly on ADI platforms. The candidate will be responsible for validating audio features analysing issues and ensuring high-quality delivery across embedded audio solutions in automotive or similar domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform software testing and validation on ADI DSP/SoC platforms for audio systems
- Design execute and maintain test cases and test plans for DSP/audio features
- Conduct functional integration and system-level testing of embedded audio components
- Analyse and debug issues from logs traces and system outputs; perform root cause analysis
- Work closely with development teams to reproduce and track defects in issue tracking systems
- Develop and enhance test automation frameworks using Python
- Validate audio performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies
- Perform hardware-level debugging and validation using lab instruments
- Review and understand HW schematics to support debugging and validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DSP HW system OEM stakeholders)
Skills & Expertise
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in software testing on DSP/SoC platforms (ADI preferred)
- Good understanding of audio signal processing concepts
- Hands-on experience with Audio Precision (AP) tools
- Experience in issue log analysis and defect tracking
Hardware & Protocol Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with:
- CRO (Oscilloscope)
- SPI Analyzer
- A2B (Automotive Audio Bus)
- CAN protocols
- Audio Precision tool
Automation
- Experience in test automation using Python
- Ability to develop scripts for validation and regression testing
- Knowledge of GIThub Copilot
Hardware Understanding
- Ability to read and analyse hardware schematics
- Experience working closely with hardware bring-up / debugging
Good to Have Skills
- Experience in automotive audio systems / amplifier products
- Exposure to embedded systems testing environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for test automation
- Knowledge of basic DSP algorithm behaviour and tuning
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics / Electrical / Communication / Computer Science or related field
