Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer II with 3-5 years of relevant experience who can contribute to both manual and automation testing for enterprise software products.

This role is suited for a detail-oriented quality engineer with strong manual testing fundamentals an automation mindset and hands-on exposure to modern automation tools such as Playwright and Python. The candidate should be able to analyze requirements design effective test coverage execute manual and automated tests troubleshoot issues and collaborate with QA engineering product and global teams to deliver high-quality software.

Exposure to Git for version-controlling automated tests Azure Pipelines or similar CI/CD tools for running automated tests and familiarity with AI-assisted testing or development tools will be valuable for this role.

What You Will Do

• Plan design and execute test cases for functional integration regression exploratory and end-to-end scenarios.

• Create maintain and improve automated test scripts using modern automation tools such as Playwright and Python.

• Identify the right balance between manual validation and automation coverage based on risk repeatability and product impact.

• Analyze requirements participate in backlog refinement provide test estimates and define test coverage for user stories.

• Use Git or similar version control tools to manage and maintain automated test assets.

• Log track troubleshoot and validate defects using existing defect management tools.

• Support automated test execution through CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

• Contribute to regression readiness release validation test data setup traceability and test metrics.

• Collaborate with developers QA engineers product teams and global stakeholders to improve product quality.

• Continuously improve testing practices by identifying opportunities for better automation stronger coverage faster feedback and more reliable validation.

Automation Mindset

• Use automation to improve regression coverage reduce manual effort and provide faster release feedback.

• Write maintainable automation scripts with focus on reliability readability reuse and ease of debugging.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in software testing with a strong mix of manual testing and test automation experience.

• Strong understanding of SDLC STLC Agile/Scrum defect lifecycle and release validation practices.

• Hands-on experience in manual testing including test planning test case design test execution defect management and test metrics.

• Hands-on or working experience with Playwright and Python for test automation.

• Experience using Git or similar version control systems for maintaining automated test scripts.

• Exposure to Azure Pipelines or similar CI/CD tools for running automated tests.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing or development tools such as LLMs ChatGPT Claude Codex GitHub Copilot or similar tools.

• Ability to analyze requirements identify test gaps raise risks early and define effective test coverage.

• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across product application data and integration issues.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced collaborative and global environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have / Added Advantage

• Awareness of AI testing concepts such as LLM-as-a-Judge golden datasets prompt/output validation or model response evaluation.

• Exposure to observability or tracing tools such as Langfuse for AI workflow validation.

• Previous experience with AI-enabled applications reconciliation financial close month-end close accounting or enterprise SaaS applications.
