Cohesity offers a web-scale hybrid cloud infrastructure for data management. We are looking for world-class engineers to develop our ground-breaking converged storage architecture. This position includes everything from building and testing the core of our infinitely scalable filesystemexploringhuge information sets to presenting complex information in an easily digestibleformat for our customers. You are not only a Software Engineer who designs and implementsfeatures but should have knack of diagnosing problems in large bodies of complex codeUnderstand scalability and performance and work on fixes with rapid turnaround time and highquality. Your will be part of our Software engineering Quality business unit in Cohesity
HOW YOULL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Own product areas and lead the test effort of one or more features for our on-prem as well as SaaS offerings in Data Security Domain.
Work with the engineering team during the feature design and implementation phases to develop:
Buildmethodology(design the test approach) and strategy to test the feature end-to-end.
Test the viability of potential plans.
Collaborate with other testing members developers technical writers and customer solutions engineers to ensure the company delivershigh-qualityproducts to our customers.
Implement multiple iterations of the test plan by running manual and automated test cases.
Analyze failures and root cause issues file defects follow up with developersdocumentationand other teams on the resolution.
Automate test cases.
Supervise and manage a continuous integration and control environment
Administer andmaintain theinfrastructure (prem and cloud cluster) used is system and scale testing
Mentor and support team members.
WED LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
BS in Computer Science with 7/10 yr experience or MS in Computer Science with 5/8 yr experience
5years experiencewith testing systems products (storage networkingvirtualization).and cloud technologies
2 years of experience working on any of these cloud provider (AWSAzureor GCP)
Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Data Protection Data Security Ransomware protection Cyber Vaulting and Recovery Filesystem Cloud SaaS Platform
Good knowledge of Linux and should be comfortable with shellscripting.
Prior experience of programming preferably in Go or Python
Test automation framework experience preferablyPyTestand Ginkgo
Knowledge of one or more Hypervisors -ESXiHyperV KVM.
Have a high bar for the quality of the product.
Creative independent self-motivatedand willing to learnnew technology.
Possessa goodunderstanding of QA methodologiesprocessesand test tools.
Ability to take up a variety of roles in a startup environment.
Excellent troubleshooting abilities spanning multiple software and hardware components
(such as switches storage systems kernels Kubernetes CloudWorkloads).
Experience with distributed systems (databases storage map-reduce frameworks etc.) is a plus
Experience with Kubernetes clusters is a plus
Strong test planning ability is a big plus.
