Software Intern (AI)
Job Summary
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director - AI Solutions this role is based in DataCores Bangalore India technical center of excellence and is ideal for students who want hands-on experience applying artificial intelligence to real-world problems in a production software environment and who enjoy picking up unfamiliar codebases and technologies quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across multiple AI projects during the internship partnering with mentors and other interns
- Code test debug document and maintain software
- Learn and apply current AI technologies across the product development lifecycle
- Present outcomes and findings to the team
- Maintain the highest level of standards and integrity
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- 2027 Graduates / Final-year Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering AI & ML Engineering Data Science or a related field with a GPA of 7 or 70% and above
- Proficiency in Python required
- Familiarity with LLMs and AI APIs such as OpenAI or similar and a basic understanding of REST APIs
- Basic front-end development skills
Skills & Abilities
- Strong interest in AI/ML with a basic understanding of concepts such as neural networks deep learning transformers language models embeddings and model training/fine-tuning
- Fast learner self-motivated and confident interacting with other interns and DataCore team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently while comfortable asking for help when needed and capable of completing assigned tasks on time
- Strong problem-solving and algorithmic skills demonstrated through competitive programming or personal projects a plus
- Demonstrable interest in AI/ML through personal projects research hackathons or open-source contributions
- Continuous self-led learner comfortable picking up new applications repositories and technologies through online sources
