Epiroc Mining India Private Ltd is looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our Customer Center team. This role is paramount in ensuring the reliability and performance of our drilling equipment through expert maintenance and rebuild services.
Mission and Role Overview
You will take the lead in conducting comprehensive Boomer rebuilds and Drifter overhauling ensuring all work adheres strictly to safety protocols and quality standards. As a Service Engineer you will manage and coordinate a group of technicians providing guidance and instruction to maintain efficiency and safety throughout all operations in our Regional Center (RC).
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the rebuilding of Boomer rigs and the overhaul of Drifter drilling machines.
- Supervise and mentor a team of technical staff fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious working environment.
- Implement and maintain compliance with all safety guidelines and protocols during service and rebuild procedures.
- Provide on-site support and technical assistance for non-Zinc Drills Boomer and HZL Drills to ensure uninterrupted operation and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize maintenance processes and improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service procedures maintenance schedules and parts inventory for effective resource management.
Required Competences Skills and Experience
- Proven experience leading technical teams in maintenance-heavy environments preferably within heavy machinery or mining equipment sectors.
- Degree/Diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering with 2-3 years of hand on experience of drills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a specialization in BOOMER and Drifter drills is essential.
- Capability to lead rebuild and overhaul projects with a focus on quality safety and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on being soft-spoken and effective when managing a diverse team.
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols related to equipment servicing and personnel management.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and operational standards.
