We are looking for a highly skilled Mid level full-stack engineer to join the DAAS team located in Waltham Massachusetts. The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer having knowledge of complex system design with excellent problem solving skills. DAAS is a nascent initiative and youll have the opportunity to affect its direction. Youll take the lead in bringing in new ideas testing and validating them quickly and independently and incorporating them while socializing them with the team.

What Youll do:

• Design develop and maintain backend systems using Java and frameworks like NestJS.
• Build scalable systems using event streaming technologies like Kafka
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement new features and functionalities for the platform.
• Refactor and improve existing codebases to enhance performance scalability and maintainability.
• Develop and implement RESTful APIs adhering to best practices and design patterns.
• Work with cutting-edge cloud technologies.
• Solving interesting and challenging problems alongside a great team of engineers.
• Developing new skills as you push your knowledge and our technology to new levels.

What you bring:

• 7 years of Hands on experience on Java and .
• Experience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB - writing efficient queries designing schemas and ensuring data security.
• Familiarity with designing building and maintaining RESTful web APIs.
• Familiarity with software development best practices including SOLID principles design patterns and unit testing.
• Experience with logging monitoring and alerting tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Passion for developing software and continuous improvement.
• Strong desire to seek pragmatic innovative solutions to complex business and technical problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams including customer support product and engineering.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems for real-time data processing
• Demonstrable contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with cloud technologies specifically AWS and GCP including deploying monitoring and scaling applications.
• Virtualization and orchestration of applications (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS).
• Experience building microservices architectures.
