The Senior Purchase Executive is responsible for managing procurement activities sourcing suppliers negotiating contracts ensuring timely delivery of materials and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role focuses on cost optimization quality assurance vendor management and compliance with company procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities -
Procurement & Purchasing
Identify evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
Obtain quotations compare prices and negotiate favourable commercial terms.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Ensure timely procurement of materials equipment and services.
Monitor purchase orders from issuance to delivery and resolve supply issues.
Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Conduct vendor performance evaluations based on quality delivery cost and service.
Develop alternative sources to reduce procurement risks.
Negotiate contracts pricing agreements and payment terms.
Cost Control & Negotiation
Achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
Analyse market trends and pricing fluctuations.
Recommend cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising quality.
Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with stores production and planning teams to maintain optimum inventory levels.
Monitor stock availability and initiate replenishment activities.
Prevent stock-outs and excess inventory situations.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain procurement records contracts and supplier documentation.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare procurement reports spend analysis and vendor performance reports.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with production engineering quality finance and logistics teams.
Resolve supplier-related quality and delivery issues.
Support audits and procurement process improvements.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Commerce Business Administration Engineering or related field.
Additional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Cost savings achieved through negotiations and sourcing strategies.
Purchase order processing turnaround time.

Experience
35 years of experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain management.
Experience handling local and international sourcing (if applicable).
Strong experience in vendor development and contract negotiation.

Excellent analytical and cost-management abilities.
Understanding of procurement contracts SLAs and compliance requirements.
