Job Summary
The position requires the engineer to work on qualification of Networking devices fabric protocols with a deep level understanding of networking at the protocol level coupled with programming skills to support the automation of test plans. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint this support will include evaluation and test of highly scaled up network infrastructure analyze results and implement corrective actions for reliability performance and compliance.
Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in testing and automation of Networking devices at system level
- Mandatory expertise with traffic generator like IXIA or similar Network Test equipment.
- Fluency in BGP MPLS VxLAN EVPN OSPF QoS Networking device hardware
- Experience in RDMA RoCE Infiniband is preferable
- Experience with Python or other object-oriented programming language
- Experience with optical transceiver (100G 400G 800G) EEPROM DOM and Optical cables
- Excellent organizational verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction features and priorities.
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Electronics/Hardware Engineering or related field
- Preference will be given for candidates with certifications like CCNA CCNP etc.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Comprehensive test plans and test cases based on networking protocols production network configuration and scale use case
- Perform functional scalability performance interoperability regression and security testing of network devices such as routers.
- Develop maintain and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Configure deploy and manage test environments using lab setups for scale validations required for system validation.
- Have strong Troubleshooting experience and analyze test results identify root causes of failures
- Record detailed test results create test reports and maintain clear documentation throughout the test lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Network vendors designers to resolve issues
- Mentor Junior engineers
