About the Role:

The Team:

We are a Global database team supporting mission critical databases in Aurora PostGreSQL SQL Server Oracle etc. The team provides global 24x7 support across multiple regions.

Responsibilities and Impact:

• Serve as a strong DBA for Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL in production environments
• Provide secondary support for Microsoft SQL Server
• Handle daily operational support troubleshooting maintenance and performance tuning
• Use Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of database infrastructure
• Support cloud-based database environments preferably in AWS
• Work flexibly during the day to support operational activities incidents releases and maintenance requirements

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Aurora PostgreSQL/ SQL Server Administration
• Performance Tuning and Optimization
• High Availability and Reliability
• Security and Access Management
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Terraform Automation
• Strong experience with AWS
• Familiarity with cloud operations.
• Experience working highly active Production environment.
• Scripting knowledge in Shell Python or PowerShell
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch Splunk Datadog or similar
• Experience in enterprise operational environments with defined support processes
• Good documentation and runbook creation skills
