Senior CICS Systems Programmer

• CICS Systems Programmer
  • Install/maintain IBM CICS/TS software and associated tools
  • Experience with CICS/TS version migration/upgrade
  • Responsible for maintaining CICS definitions including RDO BAS Files etc
  • Responsible for tuning of CICS and capacity planning of CICS resources
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on CICS system performance
  • Knowledge of configuring CICSPELX Groups and HA configurations in a SYSPLEX environment
  • Experience with RACF
  • Experience with CICS troubleshooting issues and dump analysis
  • Experience of / exposure to programming languages including Assembler COBOL REXX SAS etc 
  • Document/maintain software inventory of CICS tools and their installation procedures
  • Evaluate and research new CICS functionality to exploit new features
  • Monitor and apprise management on EOS of existing tools and take proactive action
  • Oncall support
