Job Summary
Were seeking someone to join our team as a Security Settlements Director in Firmwide Operations to ensure that the firms Fixed Income and Equity security transactions successfully settle on contractual settlement date and in accordance with trade details as booked in the firms system. The team is responsible for ensuring the books and records for the firm agree with the external banks and depositorys records.
In the Operations division we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Supervisor position at Director level within Core Services which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What youll do in the role:
- DTC Settlements specialist and manages the settlement process for DTC markets.
- Partner with the various Operations teams Business Units and Agent Banks in order to maximize trade settlement whilst minimizing financial franchise and regulatory risk to the Firm and Firm Clients.
- Develop supervise and report the teams key risk & performance indicators on a periodic basis.
- Point of escalation for the function and supports team on issue resolution.
- Partner closely with Business Units in enhancing our client service levels and support for new business development. Identifies and develops value added solutions that support clients needs.
- Provides management oversight and review of regulatory reporting functions.
- Drive review of the controls and processes to reduce operational and client risk.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and strive for delivery of commercial initiatives.
- Work with global counterparts in running the strategic agenda for Security Settlements.
- People management and responsible for career development of staff reporting into them.

- Serve as the primary supervisor within specific line or project area with accountability to associated risks
- Manage direct reports leading 1:1s and career development attracting and retaining high quality talent in line with our leadership commitments
- Review resources to ensure adequate coverage to deliver BAU commitments highlighting current and future needs to manager
- Share expert knowledge across the team contributing to team output and ensuring diverse viewpoints are heard
What youll bring to the role:
- At least 10 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
- Security settlements for equity and fixed income.
- Middle office for equity and fixed income.
- Trade processing for equity and fixed income products.
- Client service supporting equity and fixed income products.
- Understand trade life-cycle and the front to back functions.
- 3 years experience managing teams.
- Flexible to work rotation shifts (afternoon and evening)
- Ability to lead by example work with drive and determination adapt management style to suit individuals and ensure team is well supported with a sense of purpose.
- Prepared to challenge the status quo raise concerns and/or needs of their team members.
- Ability to pitch communication appropriately according to the audience and demonstrate active listening skills.
- Culture carrier across Operations embracing the Firms core values and acting as a role model.
