About the job
The Industrials team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to improve the quality of the next generation application for Planning Management of Our customers. Our team works on the cutting-edge technology stack which processes Big Data to help our customers in making analytical and business decisions. The volume of data flexible architecture and configurability are the interesting challenges that the Team works upon while delivering features through CI/CD.
As a Senior Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) we are looking for someone who:
- Creates and maintains high quality of test automation using modern development techniques and provides key data points to support metrics-based decision making.
- Applies automated tests at every layer of the application stack both inside and outside of the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Produces and analyzes metrics that illustrate the quality of applications and develop insight that contribute to quality engineering decisions.
- Works with team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy maintaining the health of the build pipeline.
- Works collaboratively with development product operations and support peers to encourage quality as a key design element in all work efforts.
- Engages in code reviews for product test and infrastructure code.
- Protects users from escaped defects participates in support escalations and value Customer Experience (CX) above all.
- Ensuresall applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organizations secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related quantitative field
- 2-5 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing in Python or similar languages
- Experience with integration regression and unit testing.
- Working experience with RDBMS Oracle PostgreSQL
- Experience using Agile development practices
- Familiaritywith various cloud environments and concepts
- Equivalentcombination of related education training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and associated tools like Git Gerrit Jenkins GitHub etc.
- Experience designing implementing and maintaining automated test scripts using Python
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g. Python Java Golang)
- Programming and debugging skills with a working understanding of software architecture and testing principles.
- Exposure to BDD and I18N testing will be preferred.
- Experience with performance and resiliency testing.
- Experience with Linux.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based application development.
