Senior SAP UI5 / CAPM Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP UI5 / CAPM Developer to design develop test deploy and support a custom enterprise application on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

The role will be responsible for the complete technical implementation of the eLog application covering the CAPM backend CDS data models and services PostgreSQL database schema and migrations authentication and authorization using XSUAA / SAP IAS dynamic configuration capabilities and reusable SAP UI5 rendering components.

The candidate will work closely with the Solution Architect Functional Team Business Users and AWL IT team to convert framework and business requirements into scalable secure maintainable application components.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM).
• Develop robust CDS data models entities associations compositions validations and service definitions.
• Develop and expose OData services and APIs for application consumption.
• Implement business logic validations transactional processing and error handling in CAP.
• Develop reusable backend services and common frameworks to support future application enhancements.
• Implement service-level authorization and role-based access controls.
• Optimize application performance and backend service response times.

B. PostgreSQL Database

• Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas supporting the eLog application.
• Develop database tables relationships constraints indexes and data structures.
• Manage database migrations across development test pilot and production environments.
• Ensure database changes are version-controlled and deployment-ready.
• Troubleshoot database performance and data consistency issues.
• Develop appropriate data migration and initialization scripts where required.

• Implement application security using SAP BTP XSUAA.
• Configure and manage application roles scopes role collections and authorization models.
• Integrate SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) where applicable.
• Implement authentication and authorization for UI5 and CAPM services.
• Ensure secure communication between frontend backend databases and external SAP/non-SAP systems.
• Follow enterprise security coding and data protection standards.

• Design and develop the dynamic-configuration engine backend based on the application framework requirements.
• Enable business-driven configuration without requiring frequent code changes.
• Develop configuration entities APIs validation rules and runtime configuration processing.
• Support configurable forms fields workflows business rules and application behavior where required.
• Ensure configuration changes are controlled traceable and appropriately authorized.

• Design and develop responsive enterprise applications using SAP UI5.
• Build reusable UI5 controls components fragments models formatters and rendering components.
• Implement the UI5 rendering components based on the defined application/framework requirements.
• Develop dynamic UI components driven by backend configuration.
• Integrate UI5 applications with CAPM OData services and APIs.
• Implement client-side validation error handling navigation and user-friendly messaging.
• Ensure responsive behavior across supported browsers and screen sizes.
• Follow SAP Fiori and UI5 development standards wherever applicable.

• Integrate the eLog application with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems through APIs/OData services.
• Work with SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI where integration middleware is required.
• Develop and consume REST/OData APIs.
• Handle authentication authorization payload transformation error handling and integration monitoring.
• Support end-to-end integration testing with connected systems.
