SAP Functional Lead (Solution Architect - Track)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Lead who is ready to transition into a Solution Architect role. This position is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in one or more SAP functional modules and a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes across the SAP ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will be capable of driving cross-functional solution design leading business and technical discussions and delivering scalable integrated SAP solutions. Rather than focusing on a single module you will play a key role in designing enterprise-wide solutions that align with business objectives and SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business process discovery workshops and translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Design end-to-end business solutions across multiple SAP functional domains.
• Drive solution architecture discussions with business stakeholders functional consultants and technical teams.
• Lead functional design activities for SAP implementations upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules and external enterprise applications.
• Review solution designs for scalability maintainability and alignment with SAP best practices.
• Provide functional leadership during project execution testing deployment and hypercare support.
• Collaborate with ABAP Integration Basis and technical teams on enhancements interfaces reports workflows and integrations.
• Mentor functional consultants and provide guidance on solution design and best practices.
• Participate in solution estimation architecture reviews project planning and technical governance.
• Evaluate SAP S/4HANA innovations emerging SAP technologies and industry best practices for customer adoption.
• Support pre-sales initiatives by contributing to solution design effort estimation proposal development and client presentations when required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10-15 years of SAP Functional Consulting experience.
• Strong expertise in one or more SAP functional modules such as:
  • MM
  • SD
  • PP
  • QM
  • PM
  • EWM
  • WM
  • FICO
  • or other relevant SAP functional modules.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business processes across multiple functional domains.
• Hands-on experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience in multiple end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycle projects.
• Strong knowledge of integration between SAP functional modules.
• Experience collaborating with ABAP Basis Integration and technical teams.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into integrated SAP solutions.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving communication stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Proven experience leading functional teams workstreams or solution delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to SAP Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture practices.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration programs.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP SAP Integration Suite and SAP Cloud solutions is an added advantage.
• Experience across industries such as Manufacturing Retail Logistics or other enterprise environments.
• SAP Certification(s) are preferred but not mandatory.
