Job Summary
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Source evaluate and select reliable suppliers and contractors for construction materials machinery and services.
- Negotiate contracts pricing and delivery terms to ensure optimal cost and quality outcomes.
- Maintain a comprehensive supplier database and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with project managers site engineers and finance teams to forecast material needs and avoid delays.
- Monitor market trends material availability and price fluctuations to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies safety standards and local procurement regulations.
- Manage purchase orders track deliveries and resolve supply chain issues promptly.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement practices in procurement operations.
- Prepare procurement reports and KPIs for senior management review.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field.
- 25 years of proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials (cement steel aggregates electrical plumbing etc.) and their specifications.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP Tally or MS Dynamics).
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local and state-level procurement regulations in Rajasthan.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations and construction sites as needed.
