Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Purchase Head is responsible for managing the overall procurement activities of the organization. This includes sourcing quality materials negotiating with vendors ensuring timely supply and maintaining cost efficiency while supporting production and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals
- Identify evaluate and finalize suppliers/vendors
- Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with suppliers
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials machinery and services
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production teams
- Maintain strong vendor relationships for long-term business
- Ensure quality standards are met for all purchased items
- Track market trends and price fluctuations
- Control purchasing budgets and reduce procurement costs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Handle purchase documentation approvals and audits

Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce / Business / Supply Chain
- MBA (Preferred)
Experience:
- 815 years of experience in procurement/purchase
- Experience in textile or manufacturing industry preferred
