Job Summary
Job responsibilities:
- Lead postsilicon validation efforts and collaborate with architects and design teams to develop comprehensive IP and SoClevel test plans.
- Own the architecture development and delivery of the RTOSbased SDK (FreeRTOS and others) including BSPs HALs lowlevel drivers and middleware components.
- Drive firstsilicon bringup activities perform indepth debugging and manage regression testing.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in automotive communication protocols such as Ethernet (PTP AN EEE) CAN LIN FlexRay as well as ARM architecture bootloaders SPI I2C and UART.
- Develop automated test solutions using Python FPGAbased frameworks NI LabVIEW/TestStand and VBA.
- Define characterization and validation test plan in collaboration with crossfunctional teams working closely with system architects hardware engineers and safety teams.
- Provide actionable feedback to hardware teams and influence nextgeneration RISCV CPU and SoC feature enhancements.
- Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers offering technical direction prioritization and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Create analyze and validate test reports ensuring timely review and alignment across global crossfunctional teams.
- Debug postsilicon test failures and perform systematic rootcause analysis to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- The Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for assuring all instrumentation scripting and boards are prepared prior to silicon arrival on the bench.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. degree with 12 years of experience in embedded software development and/or postsilicon validation.
- Deep understanding of microcontroller and SoC postsilicon validation processes.
- Strong programming skills in C and Python (mandatory).
- Handson experience with silicon bringup advanced debugging tools (Segger JLink Lauterbach) and validation of complex SoC/MCU peripherals including SPI I2C DDR Ethernet USB PCIe and safetyrelated features.
- Prior experience delivering SDKs to Tier1s or OEMsparticularly in automotivecovering highspeed interfaces such as Ethernet USB and PCIe.
- Knowledge of bootloaders firmware update flows and secure embedded software practices.
- Proven experience in firstsilicon bring-up detailed debugging and regression testing.
- Strong background in deriving test specifications from product requirements and implementing executing debugging and characterizing silicon through comprehensive test suites.
