Job Summary

Technical Authoring: Create edit and maintain user manuals Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
service bulletins installation guides and assembly/test procedures for powertrain propulsion and
transmission systems.

Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical electrical and thermal design engineers to gather
technical data CAD models schematics and design intent to ensure precise document accuracy.

Change & Issue Tracking (Jira): Utilize Jira to track technical documentation tasks log and resolve bugs/
issues manage release workflows and maintain alignment with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/ECNs).

Process & Standards Compliance: Ensure all technical publications strictly adhere to relevant aviation and
aerospace technical authoring standards (e.g. ATA Spec 100 S1000D or ISO standards).

Test & Validation Documentation: Support test engineering teams in compiling test plans procedures and
validation report dossiers required for regulatory compliance and aerospace certification

Graphics & Technical Illustrations: Convert 3D CAD models (SolidWorks/CATIA) into vector line art exploded
views and technical illustrations for documentation and manual integration.

Requirements Management:
Hands-on experience with Visure Requirements for managing requirements traceability and compliance
documentation.
Deep familiarity with the broader Atlassian Suite (e.g. Confluence for knowledge management technical
wikis and documentation cross-linking with Jira).
Direct experience authoring documentation for electric propulsion high-voltage battery/inverter packaging or
aircraft gearboxes.
Knowledge of aerospace/aviation regulatory compliance standards (e.g. FAA/EASA certification
documentation requirements RTCA DO-160G/DO-254).
Exposure to PLM tools (e.g. PTC Windchill Siemens Teamcenter) or XML/DITA authoring principles.

Requirements & Traceability: IBM DOORS Next / Visure for requirements baselines traceability and verification evidence.

XML & S1000D Authoring: Oxygen XML Editor structured XML authoring and S1000D workflows.

3D Technical Illustration: CATIA Composer etc for exploded views and publication-ready technical illustrations

Requirements
Education: B.E. / / M.E. / in Aerospace Marine Mechanical Electrical or related Process Engineering domains.

Experience: 23 years of hands-on experience in technical writing or technical publications within the aerospace industry EV/automotive powertrain transmission etc

Workflow & Task Management: Hands-on proficiency using tools such as Jira etc for task tracking managing engineering
documentation workflows and tracking product life cycle & issues.

Tools Proficiency: High proficiency in technical authoring tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect FrameMaker or
MS Office Suite) and vector graphics software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator CorelDRAW Technical Suite).

Technical Understanding: Strong fundamentals in mechanical assemblies gearbox/transmission & rotor systems
electric motors propeller assemblies and general detailed engineering principles.

CAD Exposure: Ability to navigate 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks CATIA or NX) to extract assembly views
dimensions structural layouts and cross-sections


Required Skills:

CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE Part Design Generative Shape Design Assembly Design Composite Part Design Sheet Metal Design Drafting and FT&A. Aerospace Structural Design Design of primary/secondary aircraft structures using composite and metallic materials including attachments and interfaces. GD&T & Engineering Drawing Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Y14.100 Y14.37 2D drawings datum structures PMI FT&A and tolerance stack-up analysis. Composite Design & Manufacturing Composite part/assembly design composite manufacturing processes and design considerations for fabrication and assembly. Aircraft Systems Integration & PLM Integration with propulsion battery avionics autonomy and other subsystems plus ENOVIA/PLM configuration management ECR/ECN/SQN/PQN processes.
