Job Title: PLM System Admin Location: Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune India Employment Type: Full-time / Contract
Role Overview/Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a 6-9 years experienced PLM System Administrator with strong expertise in Siemens Teamcenter administration architecture and enterprise deployments. The role is responsible for managing maintaining and optimizing Teamcenter environments across global landscapes ensuring scalability performance and high availability. The candidate will lead deployment activities environment management and infrastructure coordination while supporting CI/CD-driven release processes and cloud-based PLM deployments.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
1. Install configure upgrade and maintain Teamcenter environments (2-tier 4-tier Active Workspace) across DEV QA UAT and PROD.
2. Perform Deployment Center based installations upgrades patching and environment provisioning.
3. Administer and manage Teamcenter architecture including BMIDE deployments data model configuration and Workspace Object modeling.
4. Support deployment of customizations (ITK RAC SOA) ensuring upgrade-safe and stable environments.
5. Administer server components such as Pool Manager FSC/FMS WebLogic/WebSphere and web tier services.
6. Configure and maintain users roles groups ACLs and security frameworks.
7. Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with Azure AD (Entra ID) including SAML/OAuth authentication flows.
8. Monitor system health logs and performance; perform proactive tuning (cache indexing memory).
9. Coordinate with DBA teams for database administration (Oracle/SQL Server) tuning and optimization.
10. Manage integrations with CAD/PLM systems (NX Solid Edge CATIA Creo) and enterprise applications (SAP).
11. Support Multi-Site environments data synchronization and global deployments.
12. Execute and manage CI/CD-based release deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps Jenkins or Git.
13. Perform large-scale data migrations environment cloning and version upgrades (major/minor releases).
14. Lead troubleshooting activities including log analysis root cause analysis and performance issue resolution.
15. Implement backup restore disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
16. Ensure compliance with IT security standards audit requirements and system governance policies.
17. Automate administration tasks using scripting (Shell PowerShell batch).
18. Maintain system documentation SOPs and operational runbooks.
19. Provide L2/L3 production support and lead knowledge transfer sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
Minimum 6-9 years of experience in Siemens Teamcenter PLM System Administration.
Strong expertise in Teamcenter architecture (2-tier 4-tier) installation and configuration.
Proven experience with Deployment Center (TEM) and enterprise-level deployments.
Experience working in large-scale global multi-site Teamcenter environments.
Exposure to Azure cloud infrastructure and cloud-hosted PLM platforms is a strong plus.
