The Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability performance and security of Clients enterprise network and datacentre infrastructure. The role involves designing implementing and maintaining network solutions supporting multi-datacentre environments and collaborating with internal IT teams and third-party vendors. The engineer will ensure operational excellence by following ITIL processes proactively troubleshooting issues and maintaining accurate technical documentation.

The Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability performance and security of Clients enterprise network and datacentre infrastructure. The role involves designing implementing and maintaining network solutions supporting multi-datacentre environments and collaborating with internal IT teams and third-party vendors. The engineer will ensure operational excellence by following ITIL processes proactively troubleshooting issues and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure monitor and maintain enterprise networking solutions including Cisco Nexus & Catalyst switches Meraki SD-WAN and Wi-Fi.
- Implement VLANs static routing and core networking concepts within datacentre and enterprise environments.
- Perform network troubleshooting root cause analysis and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Administer and support firewalls (Checkpoint preferred) and ensure network security principles are applied.
- Support storage infrastructure including SAN/distributed storage and multi-datacentre environments.
- Assist with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and provide awareness of VMware Horizon VDI.
- Use monitoring tools (PRTG) to proactively detect and resolve network and infrastructure issues.
- Follow ITIL processes for change management and patch management.
- Work effectively with internal teams and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
- Produce clear documentation and communicate changes effectively.
Essential Qualifications
- Strong expertise in enterprise and datacenter networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches
- Proficiency in Meraki SD-WAN and WiFi
- Strong knowledge of VLAN configuration and static routing
- Advanced network troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Solid understanding of network security principles
- Experience in firewall administration (Checkpoint preferred)
- Working knowledge of SAN / distributed storage environments
- Exposure to multi-datacenter infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere administration
- Familiarity with PRTG monitoring platform
- Understanding of patch management processes
- 46 years of experience in enterprise networking environments
