Microsoft Fabric Platform Engineer

Join the Fabric Center of Excellence to operate govern and continuously improve an enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environment. This role combines platform administration capacity and gateway management automation incident response and enablement of AI-powered analytics capabilities.

• Administer Microsoft Fabric and Power BI tenant settings capacities domains workspaces and access controls.
• Establish and enforce governance standards across security data protection workspace lifecycle deployment and operational compliance.
• Monitor capacity health utilization and throttling; support workload planning performance optimization and proactive remediation.
• Manage on-premises and virtual network data gateways including clusters data-source connectivity upgrades availability and troubleshooting.
• Automate platform operations monitoring governance reporting and deployment activities using PowerShell Python REST APIs and CI/CD practices.
• Own incident triage root-cause analysis service restoration stakeholder communication and knowledge documentation.
• Support AI Agents Data Agents ontologies and AI-ready semantic models through secure governed platform patterns.
• Partner with engineering BI security and business teams to onboard solutions and improve platform reliability and adoption.

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI administration.
• Capacity administration monitoring performance analysis and optimization.
• Gateway architecture configuration high availability upgrades and issue resolution.
• Governance access management security controls lifecycle management and operational standards.
• Python SQL DAX Fabric Notebooks semantic models and Semantic Link Labs.
• Working knowledge of AI Agents Data Agents ontology concepts and Copilot-enabled analytics.
• Automation using PowerShell REST APIs Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Structured incident management troubleshooting and clear technical documentation.

• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering information systems or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) is mandatory.
• Related certifications such as PL-300 DP-203 AI-102 or AZ-104 are preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analytics BI or cloud platform engineering including hands-on administration responsibilities.

• Supporting enterprise-scale Fabric or Power BI environments in a global operating model.
• Capacity troubleshooting workload governance service monitoring and performance tuning.
• Microsoft Purview data lineage DLP RBAC and enterprise governance practices.
• Lakehouse Direct Lake deployment pipelines and release management.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to operational detail.
• Ability to prioritize incidents and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ownership accountability and a continuous-improvement orientation.
• Willingness and ability to work the mandatory 5:00 PM IST to 2:00 AM IST shift.
