Mechanical-Skilled Maintenance Worker HRLY
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician Mechanical is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and systems to support safe efficient and reliable operations. This hourly role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment helps minimize downtime and supports continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps compressors conveyors gearboxes valves piping systems and other mechanical components
- Inspect equipment for wear misalignment vibration leaks and other mechanical issues
- Disassemble repair replace and reassemble mechanical parts and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints mechanical drawings manuals and work orders
- Use precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools to complete repairs accurately
- Support equipment installation commissioning and startup activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records parts usage and work order documentation
- Follow all plant safety rules lockout/tagout procedures and environmental requirements
- Coordinate with operations engineering and other maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues
- Identify opportunities for equipment reliability and continuous improvement
- Diploma Mechanical /Mechatronics
- Technical training apprenticeship or vocational certification in mechanical maintenance or related field preferred
- Experience in industrial manufacturing plant or facility maintenance
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and mechanical systems
- Ability to use hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment safely
- Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance management systems
- Welding machining or fabrication experience is a plus
- Experience with alignment bearings seals and rotating equipment
- Ability to stand walk bend climb kneel and lift materials or tools as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to noise heat dust and moving equipment
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required
- Hourly non-exempt position
- May require overtime weekends holidays or call-in support based on operational needs
