Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 23 years of experience in product design and development. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Creo mechanical design and New Product Development (NPD). The role involves designing electromechanical products developing 3D models and drawings supporting prototype builds and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for new product development.

• Create 3D models assemblies and manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric.

• Design plastic sheet metal machined and casting components.

• Support electromechanical products and enclosure design.

• Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost.

• Perform basic engineering calculations GD&T application and tolerance stack-up analysis.

• Support prototype development testing and design validation activities.

• Work closely with electronics manufacturing sourcing and quality teams.

• Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages.

• Prepare engineering documentation BOMs and release packages.

Required Skills

• 23 years of experience in mechanical product design.

• Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and assembly design.

• Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes.

• Knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding.

• Experience in sheet metal casting and machined component design.

• Good understanding of GD&T tolerance stack-up and manufacturing processes.

• Basic knowledge of structural thermal or flow simulation.

• Familiarity with prototype development and product validation.

• Good analytical communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.

• Experience in electromechanical product development is preferred.

• Exposure to PLM/PDM systems and engineering change management is an added advantage.
