The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager Engineeringto lead a talented team of software this role you will be responsible for driving the technical vision execution and delivery of highly scalable cloud-native applications. You will operate at the intersection of leadership and technology utilizing your strong background in Java Spring Boot and Microservices to guide your team in building robust solutions.
As an M4 leader you will not only focus on technical excellence but also on mentoring your team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaborating closely with Product Design and other Engineering leaders to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
What Youll Do
Team Leadership: Hire mentor and grow a high-performing team of software engineers. Provide regular feedback conduct performance reviews and support the career development of your direct reports.
Technical Direction: Guide the design and architecture of scalable resilient and secure cloud-native applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
Microservices Strategy: Champion best practices in microservices architecture ensuring modularity performance and fault tolerance across our platform.
Delivery & Execution: Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework. Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software.
Operational Excellence: Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines automated testing and deployment strategies to enable frequent and reliable releases.
Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage cloud technologies (GCP/AWS/Azure) to optimize infrastructure usage scalability and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers Architects and QA teams to define roadmaps prioritize backlogs and resolve technical debt.
What Youll Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Experience: 8 years of software engineering experience with at least 2-3 years in a direct engineering management or leadership role.
Core Technologies: Deep hands-on expertise with Java and Spring Boot ecosystems.
Architecture: Proven track record of designing building and maintaining scalable distributed systems and Microservices architectures.
Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with modern public cloud platforms (GCP AWS or Azure) and cloud-native design principles.
DevOps & CI/CD: Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and modern deployment pipelines.
Agile Mindset: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience leading sprint rituals and planning.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
