Lead Software Engineer (Full-Stack Developer)

Selah Digital is looking for a highly skilled and self-driven Lead Software Engineer (Full-Stack Developer) to take ownership of our development initiatives across client projects and internal products.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will contribute to architecture and technical decision-making guide the development team and remain actively involved in development. You will work closely with clients leadership product and design teams to turn business requirements into scalable and secure technology solutions.

• Own the technical architecture and engineering approach for assigned projects.
  

• Make key technical decisions around frameworks technologies architecture APIs databases security and scalability.
  

• Translate business and client requirements into technical solutions and development plans.
  

• Guide developers through implementation review technical approaches and remove technical blockers.
  

• Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality security performance and maintainability.
  

• Mentor junior developers and interns and contribute to technical interviews and onboarding.
  

• Design develop and deploy scalable web and mobile applications.
  

• Build responsive interfaces using JavaScript React HTML and CSS.
  

• Develop secure backend services and APIs using and PostgreSQL.
  

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations.
  

• Design efficient data models and optimize database performance.
  

• Remain hands-on and contribute directly to complex or critical development work.
  

• Support CI/CD automated testing monitoring and deployment practices.
  

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of client projects from requirements and architecture through development deployment and support.
  

• Conduct client-facing technical discussions demos and solution walkthroughs.
  

• Work with product managers designers and business stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
  

• Take ownership of internal software projects and products from initial idea and technical research through development and implementation.
  

• Work with leadership to evaluate technical feasibility effort risks and potential solutions for new initiatives.
  

• Research and adopt new technologies or approaches when required.
  

• Work with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
  

• Design and review APIs and data models supporting healthcare data exchange.
  

• Follow healthcare data privacy and security practices including role-based access audit logging and encryption.
  

• 35 years of professional full-stack development experience; 5 years is also welcome.
  

• At least 12 years of senior/lead-level experience either through a formal leadership role or demonstrated technical ownership.
  

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript React HTML CSS and PostgreSQL.
  

• Strong understanding and experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  

• Experience with application architecture and making technical decisions.
  

• Experience guiding developers conducting code reviews and driving technical implementation.
  

• Familiarity with FHIR and HL7 particularly FHIR resource structures and APIs.
  

• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  

• Experience with project planning estimation client communication and stakeholder management.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Ability to research learn and find solutions independently.
  

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to make decisions and drive projects with limited supervision.
  

• React Native or mobile development experience.
  

• Salesforce integration or development experience.
  

• Experience with Angular or .
  

• Experience with C# Java or Python.
  

• Experience with MySQL MongoDB or caching strategies.
  

• Experience with AWS Azure or GCP.
  

• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks.
  

• Prior experience with healthcare applications such as EHR EMR patient portals or clinical workflows.
  

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and design systems.
  

• Take ownership of client and internal technology projects.
  

• Work closely with leadership and contribute to important technical and architectural decisions.
  

• Lead and guide developers while remaining hands-on with technology.
  

• Work on meaningful healthcare technology and digital transformation projects.
