ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead Software Developer to design develop and deliver scalable cloud-native enterprise applications. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership mentor engineering teams contribute to architectural decisions and drive software delivery using modern development practices.
The role requires deep expertise in the Java ecosystem and / or ecosystem combined with experience in cloud/on-prem technologies microservices event-driven architectures APIs DevOps and Agile delivery.
WHAT YOULL DO
Software Design & Development
- Design develop and maintain scalable enterprise applications and backend services using either: .NET: C# Core Web APIs.
- Build secure high-performance RESTful APIs that are reliable maintainable and scalable.
- Work with the portfolio architect for driving high-level architectural discussions and alignment of technical guardrails.
- Develop solutions using microservices domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Integrate enterprise systems and third-party services through API-led connectivity patterns.
- Support end-to-end feature delivery across UI API middleware and database layers.
Technical Leadership
- Lead development teams through technical guidance architecture reviews and engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards security policies and quality requirements.
- Mentor and coach engineers build technical excellence across the team.
- Drive adoption of reusable frameworks patterns and modern development methodologies.
Cloud & DevOps
- Work with Infrastructure team for design reviews and best practices
- Design and deploy applications on cloud platforms using Azure services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build testing and deployment processes.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and DevOps best practices.
Integration & Event-Driven Solutions
- Design and implement asynchronous and event-driven solutions using messaging technologies.
- Enable real-time and near real-time communication between distributed services.
- Contribute to service reliability resiliency observability and monitoring.
Security & Performance
- Create and manage security documents (Threat Model) and collaborate with Security experts
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2 OpenID Connect Azure AD).
- Ensures compliance with enterprise security standards and secure coding practices.
- Optimise application performance through caching asynchronous processing and database tuning.
- Design systems for high availability scalability fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with Product Owners Architects Engineering Managers and relevant stakeholders to deliver business value.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues related to distributed systems APIs and integrations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
.NET Stream
- C# .NET 8/10 Core
- Web APIs Entity Framework
- Angular WPF Xamarin/.NET MAUI (preferred)
Messaging & Integration
- Azure Service Bus Kafka RabbitMQ or equivalent messaging platforms.
- Enterprise integration and API management.
NICE TO HAVE
- AKS (eg. Azure Kubernetes Service)
- NGINX
- Geospatial technologies (eg. GeoJSON H3 Geofencing)
- Observability tools (App Insights Grafana ELK Prometheus)
- AI-assisted development tools and developer productivity platforms
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead developer role.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications using technologies.
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in global Agile development teams.
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
