• Lead the technical direction and delivery of Database Engineering Squad 2.
• Design and optimize database architectures across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Drive database performance tuning scalability improvements and modernization initiatives.
• Establish standards for database design migrations security backup and recovery.
• Lead complex schema changes cloud migrations and high-availability solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams to solve performance and reliability challenges at the right layer.
• Mentor and coach Database Engineers fostering technical excellence and AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Contribute to major incident management root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
• Champion automation Infrastructure as Code database CI/CD and operational best practices.

• Extensive database engineering experience including architecture performance tuning and operational excellence at scale.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Experience with cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS Aurora Azure SQL or Managed Instance.
• Proven track record leading technical direction while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with automation CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code and modern Git workflows.
• Strong communication mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
