Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer Java with 810 years of experience in supporting and maintaining enterprise Java applications in a production environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java J2EE Spring Boot Spring Integration Microservices and Production Support. This role involves monitoring critical production systems resolving incidents within SLA timelines performing root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborating with development QA infrastructure and business teams to ensure high application availability and performance.
The candidate should be willing to work in a Graveyard/Night Shift and participate in on-call support and production release activities.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and support production applications built using Java and J2EE technologies.
Analyze troubleshoot and resolve production incidents within defined SLA timelines.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues and implement preventive solutions.
Investigate application logs server logs middleware logs and database-related issues.
Monitor application health system performance and availability.
Coordinate with Development QA Infrastructure DevOps and Business teams during incident resolution.
Support application deployments production releases patching and maintenance activities.
Manage production incidents service requests problem tickets and change requests.
Participate in on-call support and provide production support during planned and emergency releases.
Identify opportunities for application performance tuning and process improvements.
Maintain production support documentation knowledge base articles and incident reports.
Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and organizational support standards.

Required Experience
810 years of experience in Java application development and production support.
Strong hands-on experience with Java J2EE Spring Framework Spring Boot Spring Integration and Microservices.
Proven experience supporting enterprise production applications.
Experience in monitoring production environments and resolving critical incidents.
Strong knowledge of application logs server logs and database troubleshooting.
Experience working with MySQL PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Experience supporting REST-based applications and APIs.
Hands-on experience with Git Docker Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to code quality tools and defect tracking systems.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Willingness to work in a Graveyard/Night Shift and participate in on-call support.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk ELK Stack Grafana Prometheus AppDynamics or Dynatrace.
Knowledge of ITIL Incident Problem and Change Management processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP is an added advantage.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to Have
Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or Python for automation.
Exposure to cloud-native applications and container orchestration.
Knowledge of application performance tuning and capacity planning.
Experience with automation tools for deployment and monitoring.
ITIL Foundation Certification.
