Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Scientist Plant Breeding to lead breeding programs aimed at developing high-performing crop varieties. The ideal candidate should have expertise in plant breeding breeding methodologies varietal development and regulatory documentation required for seed release and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute plant breeding programs for targeted crops.
- Develop improved varieties with desirable agronomic traits and market demand.
- Apply conventional and modern breeding methodologies for varietal improvement.
- Design conduct and analyses breeding trials and field evaluations.
- Maintain accurate breeding records and experimental data.
- Prepare and manage documentation related to varietal release registration and seed commercialization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and seed certification procedures.
- Collaborate with production quality assurance and marketing teams for successful product development.
- Stay updated with advancements in plant breeding and seed technologies.
Required Qualifications
- . / Ph.D. in Plant Breeding & Genetics Plant Biotechnology or related Agricultural Sciences.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Plant Breeder/Scientist in a private seed company.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Plant Breeding and Genetics.
- Expertise in breeding methodologies and varietal development.
- Knowledge of seed release registration and commercialization documentation.
- Experience in trial planning data analysis and breeding program management.
- Good understanding of seed industry regulations and compliance.
- Strong analytical communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in developing commercially successful crop varieties.
- Familiarity with seed certification standards and regulatory processes.
- Ability to work independently and lead breeding projects effectively.
