Infrastructure Engineer Intern
Location: Bangalore Brookfield
Department: IT Infrastructure / Technology
Employment Type: Internship Full-Time
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Alternate Saturdays Off)
Experience: Fresher / Recent Graduate / Intern


About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Infrastructure Engineer Intern to join our IT Infrastructure and Technology team.
The candidate will receive hands-on exposure to:

Key Responsibilities
1. Infrastructure Management
  • Assist in deploying configuring and maintaining on-premises physical servers.
  • Support environments consisting of multiple physical servers and virtual machines.
  • Assist in managing servers deployed at client locations.
  • Support virtualization environments and VM lifecycle management.
  • Assist with VM creation configuration maintenance backup and decommissioning.
  • Assist with IP allocation and network configuration.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and configuration records.
  • Support infrastructure capacity and resource monitoring.
2. Server Management
  • Assist in administering Linux Windows and macOS environments.
  • Gain exposure to Dell and HP physical servers.
  • Monitor server health and system performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting CPU memory storage and performance issues.
  • Monitor server availability and application services.
  • Assist with database server and application platform administration.
  • Perform basic server maintenance under supervision.
  • Assist with patching updates and routine infrastructure activities.
3. End-User Device & Desktop Support
  • Provide first-level technical support for laptops desktops printers and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot driver and peripheral connectivity problems.
  • Install and configure operating systems and applications.
  • Prepare image and configure laptops/desktops for new employees.
  • Support employee onboarding and IT setup.
  • Maintain proper records of assigned IT equipment.
4. Operating System Administration
Assist with installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of:



  • Windows
  • Ubuntu/Linux
  • macOS
Responsibilities include:



  • OS installation and configuration.
  • Software and application installation.
  • Driver troubleshooting.
  • OS updates and patching.
  • Boot and startup troubleshooting.
  • Performance troubleshooting.
  • Application compatibility troubleshooting.
  • Basic system security configuration.
5. Network Infrastructure Management
  • Assist in configuring and troubleshooting network switches.
  • Support routers and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Assist with IP addressing and network configuration.
  • Understand basic VLAN and network segmentation concepts.
  • Assist with firewall configuration and monitoring.
  • Monitor firewall logs and identify unusual traffic.
  • Assist with VPN configuration and remote connectivity.
  • Support secure external access.
  • Assist with periodic firewall rule reviews.
  • Learn basic network performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity latency and network performance issues.
6. Endpoint Security & Antivirus Management
  • Assist in deploying and managing Seqrite Antivirus and Endpoint Security.
  • Monitor endpoint security status.
  • Monitor malware and virus alerts.
  • Assist with quarantine and security incident handling.
  • Ensure endpoint definitions and security policies remain updated.
  • Assist with endpoint security agent installation.
  • Troubleshoot antivirus agent connectivity and installation issues.
  • Maintain basic endpoint security documentation.
7. Infrastructure Monitoring
Assist in administering and maintaining:



  • Zabbix
  • Uptime Monitoring
  • Grafana
  • SigNoz
Responsibilities include:



  • Monitor server availability.
  • Monitor VM availability.
  • Track CPU utilization.
  • Track memory utilization.
  • Monitor disk and storage utilization.
  • Monitor application and service availability.
  • Review alerts and logs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure alerts.
  • Maintain monitoring dashboards.
  • Support proactive infrastructure monitoring.
8. CCTV Infrastructure Support
  • Monitor CCTV system health and uptime.
  • Ensure network connectivity to CCTV cameras.
  • Troubleshoot basic camera connectivity issues.
  • Monitor video feed availability.
  • Assist with CCTV hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Monitor CCTV storage.
  • Assist with surveillance footage archiving.
  • Ensure required retention policies are followed.
9. Backup & Storage Management
  • Assist in maintaining backup infrastructure.
  • Monitor scheduled backups.
  • Verify successful completion of backups.
  • Identify and report backup failures.
  • Assist with database and server backup activities.
  • Perform basic backup validation.
  • Assist with restoration testing.
  • Maintain backup documentation.
  • Gain practical exposure to disaster recovery concepts.
10. IT Asset Management
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Track laptops desktops servers monitors printers and networking equipment.
  • Maintain asset allocation records.
  • Track asset lifecycle and replacement requirements.
  • Assist with procurement activities.
  • Maintain infrastructure and asset documentation.
  • Ensure proper handover and return of IT assets.
11. Core Platform Services
  • Gain practical exposure to LDAP and directory services.
  • Assist with basic identity and access management.
  • Support user and system access activities under supervision.
  • Maintain infrastructure room and server room documentation.
  • Assist with physical infrastructure inspections.
  • Maintain proper organization of network and server equipment.
  • Follow infrastructure security and operational procedures.
12. Frontend Development Knowledge MANDATORY
The candidate must have basic knowledge of Frontend development.
