Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level engineer to support cloud-native CI/CD and DevOps initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in build release and deployment processes for microservices along with exposure to modern DevOps tooling containerization and AI-driven pipeline optimization.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based microservices
- Support branch management code promotions and release workflows under guidance
- Contribute to automation of build and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins Bamboo.
- Gain hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Work with artifact repositories (Artifactory Nexus) to manage and version build artifacts
- Document workflows troubleshooting steps and create internal FAQs/technical guides
- Collaborate with team members to understand and apply CI/CD best practices
- Use Atlassian tools (Jira Bitbucket Confluence) for issue tracking source control and pipeline execution
- Participate in AI-driven initiatives such as:
- Predictive build failure detection
- Automated pipeline optimizations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (Graduating 2025 or 2026)
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Linux/Unix systems
- Shell scripting or PHP (or equivalent scripting exposure)
- Understanding of:
- CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices
- Computer architecture operating systems data structures and databases
- Exposure to one or more programming languages (Java Python Go or JavaScript)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and YAML configurations
- Interest in AI/ML applications in DevOps or software automation
