Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Graduate Engineering Trainee with exposure to AI tools and digital technologies to support engineering product development manufacturing and supplier development in the field of industrial heaters and thermocouples.
The candidate should be capable of leveraging modern tools (including AI) to improve productivity design efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product & Design Engineering
- Assist in design and development of industrial heaters and thermocouples
- Prepare technical drawings BOMs and specifications
- Use AI-assisted design tools for concept generation optimization and documentation
- Support new product development (NPD) and customization
2. Manufacturing & Process Engineering
- Support Lean Kaizen and process optimization initiatives
- Use digital tools for process mapping
3. Supplier Development
- Identify and evaluate vendors using structured data and digital tools
- Use AI tools for supplier research benchmarking and cost analysis
- Support vendor development quality improvement and localization
4. Quality & Testing
- Support inspection and testing activities
- Use data analytics tools/ AI-based insights for defect analysis and RCA
- Assist in implementing CAPA and quality improvements
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare reports using Excel dashboards and presentations
- Use AI tools to automate documentation summarize data and generate insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Production)
- 0-1 year experience (freshers with strong projects preferred)
Technical Skills Required
Core Engineering Knowledge
- Heat transfer thermodynamics
- Electrical basics (resistance heating)
- Sensors (thermocouples RTDs)
- Materials (Tubes machined parts MgO ceramics wires tubes)
Aptitude & Analytical Skills (Mandatory)
- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving ability
- Good numerical aptitude and basic calculations
- Ability to analyze data and identify patterns
- Structured thinking for troubleshooting engineering issues
- Ability to break down problems using first-principles thinking
Digital & AI Tool Exposure (Mandatory)
Candidate should have basic hands-on exposure to:
- AI Tools for Productivity & Engineering
- ChatGPT / Copilot / Gemini (for documentation problem-solving research)
- AI-based CAD assistance (if available exposure)
- AI tools for data analysis and reporting
- Use Cases Expected
- Generating technical documents SOPs and reports
- Supporting design ideas and troubleshooting
- Supplier research and comparison
- Data summarization and decision support
Software & Tools
Data & Analytics
- MS Excel (mandatory)
- Power BI / Tableau (preferred)
- Basic Python (optional but highly preferred)
Manufacturing & Quality
- ERP exposure
- Understanding about basic quality tools
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and aptitude skills
- Ability to apply logic in real-world engineering problems
- Proficiency in using AI tools with critical thinking (not just copy-paste)
- Fast learner with curiosity for technology and manufacturing processes
- Good communication and structured thinking
Preferred
- Internship in manufacturing / heater / instrumentation industry
- Exposure to automation digital tools or Industry 4.0 concepts
- Basic scripting or automation mindset
