GIS Analyst

• Assist Latapult team in performing spatial analysis and creating mapping visuals.
  
• Support data management tasks including data entry validation and maintenance of geospatial databases.
  
• Conduct and manage basic spatial analysis tasks such as buffering overlay analysis and map layer production.
  
• Manage custom GIS tools and scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
  
• Prepare visualizations to communicate spatial analysis findings to the Latapult team.
  
• Collaborate with colleagues to understand geospatial product requirements and contribute to product deliverables.
  
• Stay updated on GIS trends and technologies through training and professional development opportunities.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Geography GIS Environmental Science or a related field.
  
• Experience with GIS software (e.g. coursework internships or projects).
  
• Proficiency in GIS software including ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
  
• Basic understanding of spatial analysis techniques and cartographic principles.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  
• Experience with web-based GIS applications (e.g. ArcGIS Online Leaflet).
  
• Familiarity with basic scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python) for geospatial analysis and automation.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Knowledge of remote sensing techniques and image processing.
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex GIS concepts to non-technical audiences.
  
• Experience with database management (e.g. PostgreSQL SQL Server) and data manipulation.
