Key Competencies.
Education:
o ITI / Diploma in electrical or mechanical or equivalent is typically required.
Experience:
o Proven experience in power generation preferably MWM gas gensets with generation voltage of 415 / 11 kV.
o Extensive on-the-job training is a critical component of becoming a fully qualified operator.
Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of gas gensets principles and systems (e.g. operating limits faults alarms power & control diagrams etc.)
o Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance.
o Knowledge of electricity basics including voltage current and frequency.
o Motor connections troubleshooting breaker functions pumps and blower repairing.
o Strong understanding of gas gensets principles and systems (e.g. operating limits faults alarms power & control diagrams etc.)
