FC Loss Manager
Job Summary
Ø Drives creation of quality initiatives process change initiatives and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan. Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Area Managers.
Ø Measures performance provides feedback and holds Area Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
Ø Leverages the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
Ø Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments shifts and among the network.
Ø Works closely with support staff (HR Manager Financial Manager Facilities Manager S&LP Manager and Other Sr. Ops. Managers IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
Key job responsibilities:
Own the FC losses charter: track investigate and drive resolution of inventory discrepancies including MFIs damage write-offs shortage claims and shrinkage events across assigned FCs.
Deep-dive loss trends using data (SQL Excel internal dashboards) to identify systemic process gaps at site level.
Partner with site ops leaders ICQA and inbound/outbound teams to implement corrective actions and SOPs that reduce loss rates.
Drive weekly loss reviews with FC stakeholders; publish WBRs with clear action items and owners.
Audit adherence to denial reason codes reimbursement SOPs and escalation pathways to ensure consistent decision-making.
Coordinate with Seller Support Finance and Transportation teams on cross-functional loss recovery efforts.
Build and maintain dashboards/trackers to provide real-time visibility into loss metrics (units value aging).
Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
Mentor train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts and network.
This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.
About the team
We have a 5-day work week but given the 7 days a week operation the 2 scheduled days off will vary based on shift patterns and business needs.
- 2 years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- 1 years of performance metrics process improvement or lean techniques experience
