Job Summary
- Prepare review and maintain project engineering documents such as:
- Instrument Index
- I/O List
- Instrument Datasheets
- Instrument Cable Schedule
- Instrumentation BOM
- PLC Panel BOM
- Instrument Hook-up Drawings
- PLC Logic Documents
- Panel Wiring Drawings
- Instrument Location Layouts
- Junction Box Schedule
- MTO / BOQ
- Coordinate with instrument PLC and control panel vendors.
- Review technical offers and vendor documents.
- Prepare technical queries and clarification documents.
- Review vendor drawings datasheets and BOMs.
- Participate in technical discussions with clients and consultants.
- Follow up with vendors for engineering deliverables and material procurement.
- Support project execution as per EPC project schedules.
- Participate in PLC panel FAT and instrumentation-related inspections.
- Verify PLC I/O logic alarms interlocks and communication during FAT.
- Support site installation loop checking and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot field instrument and PLC-related issues during commissioning.
- Coordinate with site engineers for instrument termination and loop checking.
- 23 years of experience in Instrumentation & Automation / EPC projects.
- Good knowledge of process instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience with PLC panel BOM preparation.
- Practical knowledge of PLC logic development.
- Working knowledge of Siemens PLC systems.
- Good understanding of DI DO AI and AO signals.
- Knowledge of 420 mA HART RTD thermocouple and digital signals.
- Ability to prepare instrument cable schedules.
- Understanding of PLC panel architecture and control panel components.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID instrument datasheets wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET PROFIBUS Modbus RTU/TCP
- Knowledge of SCADA/HMI systems will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel AutoCAD and engineering documentation.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a project team
- Good documentation and technical reporting skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites for commissioning and troubleshooting
Required Skills:
Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / in Instrumentation Instrumentation & Control Electronics & Instrumentation Electronics or Automation Engineering. F. Preferred Experience Experience in EPC projects involving process plants sugar plants distilleries chemical plants food processing or similar process industries will be preferred. G.
