Role – Electrical Estimation Engineer

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Engineer to support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for modular construction projects. The role involves electrical quantity take-offs technical calculations rate analysis vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration to ensure commercially viable and technically compliant bids.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Estimation & Quantity Take-Off

Prepare detailed electrical quantity take-offs (QTO) from project drawings Design Approval Reports (DAR) and other design documents.

Perform electrical load calculations lighting calculations wiring calculations and other technical calculations required for estimation.

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for electrical systems including power distribution lighting earthing conduits cable trays cables panels switches sockets and associated accessories.

Use Kreo software and other estimation tools for quantity extraction and cost estimation.

Cost Estimation

Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates based on project specifications drawings and client requirements.

Support project-level P&L analysis by providing accurate cost estimates and detailed cost breakdowns.

Evaluate project scope identify cost-saving opportunities and develop commercially competitive estimates while ensuring project profitability.

Support the preparation of tender submissions commercial proposals assumptions exclusions and cost summaries.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination

Raise RFQs and RFIs for technical clarifications and material pricing. Coordinate with the Procurement team to obtain vendor quotations and pricing. Liaise directly with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations clarify technical

specifications and evaluate commercial offers. Compare quotations and recommend the most suitable materials and vendors for estimation

purposes.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with Civil Site teams to ensure electrical estimates align with construction methodology and project execution requirements.

Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand design revisions and assess their impact on project costs.

Resolve technical and commercial queries during the estimation and tendering stages.

Estimation Database Management

Maintain and regularly update the electrical estimation database with current material and vendor rates.

Update new line items cost data and historical pricing to improve estimation accuracy. Ensure estimation templates and cost databases remain current and aligned with market

conditions.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering. 2–6 years of experience in electrical estimation for building construction MEP EPC PEB modular or prefab construction projects.

Required Skills Electrical Quantity Take-Off (QTO) BOQ preparation Electrical load lighting and wiring calculations Electrical cost estimation and rate analysis RFQ/RFI preparation and vendor coordination Procurement support and quotation evaluation Kreo software (preferred) Microsoft Excel (Advanced) Strong analytical commercial and problem-solving skills Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work under tight tender deadlines while maintaining accuracy

Preferred Experience Experience in modular prefab industrial commercial institutional or residential construction

projects. Knowledge of electrical estimation standards industry best practices and construction

methodologies. Experience working closely with engineering procurement project execution and site teams. Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination in fast-paced construction projects.
